With more than 7 years experiences in the field of graphic design and art direction with several honoured works, like Berliner Type Award, winner of DDC, IF Communication Design Award, DDC German Design Award and Reddot Awards, Irvandy Syafruddin under the pseudonym Werkroom, a Berlin based graphic designer and artdirector will introduce the course participant to their work and lead them through the design process of a publication in the digital world. From the analysis and editing of the contents, the organization and preparing or choosing fonts for the screen and images, embedding motion graphics and sounds until the design of the webpages to get ready to show them online to the world. He will introduce Readymag as an online publishing tools for creatives. With Readymag you can create any kind of web publications using only one tool, like microsites, digital magazines, photo stories, online portfolio, presentations and much more.

The Course.

A web-portfolio is your business card on the internet, a showplace for your work, your skills and your potential. You need one to promote yourself and to present your perspective to future employers. In this class, participants will study portfolios and ask the question: What makes a good personal portfolio a useful website? Additionally, students will look over their own work, prepare content and develop a design for their own portfolio. Together we will examine the questions- How do I introduce myself? Which of my projects should I show? How do I present them? Lastly, students will be introduced to web technologies which will enable them to build their own online portfolios

The Goal.

This two day workshop is particularly useful for design, photography, art etc. students and professionals, and all anyone interested in digital self-publishing. Basic knowledge of online publication, like website or similar is beneficial, although not necessary. Once again, no coding skills is here necessary. As the result, the digital publication can be any kind of type: work portfolio, personal zine, poetry book, cooking recipe book, personal diary, microsite, presentation etc.

Requirements / materials needed:
Personal computer with internet connection, have a email address and Adobe Creative suite: Illustrator, Photoshop or any kind graphic application for digital world.
Way of working: 
Its free, analog and or only with computer. Your content is always the king!
